1. Scope and Data Controller

This Privacy Policy explains how Selcoin collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you use selcoin.io, the Selcoin mobile application, and related services.

Selcoin acts as the data controller for personal data processed directly through the Platform. Payment providers and app stores may act as independent data controllers for the information they collect.

2. Data We Collect

Depending on the services you use, we may process the following categories of data:

  • Identity and account data, including name, surname, username, email address, phone number, avatar, and encrypted password.
  • Subscription and transaction records. Full payment-card details are processed by the relevant payment provider and are not stored by Selcoin.
  • Forum posts, comments, reactions, follows, reports, chat messages, price alerts, portfolio records, and saved preferences.
  • Technical and usage data, including IP address, device identifiers, operating system, browser, session logs, crash data, notification token, and approximate language or region settings.

3. How We Use Data

We use personal data to create and secure accounts, deliver requested features, process subscriptions, synchronize language and notification preferences, provide customer support, prevent abuse and fraud, comply with legal obligations, and improve the Platform.

Where required by law, marketing communications and optional analytics are based on your consent. You may withdraw that consent through your settings or by contacting us.

4. Sharing and International Transfers

We may share only the data necessary with hosting, storage, analytics, notification, email, payment, app-store, customer-support, and security providers. We may also disclose data to competent authorities where legally required.

Some service providers may process data outside Türkiye. Where applicable, transfers are made using the safeguards and procedures required by data-protection law.

5. Retention and Security

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose, contractual requirements, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, and statutory retention periods. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, password hashing, logging, backups, and other proportionate safeguards.

6. Your Rights and Contact

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, information about processing and transfers, or object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

For privacy requests, contact [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
